Our History

The early history of the funeral home is vague, but at one time it was known as Stoecklein Funeral Home. Later Pendleton Earl Hays partnered with George Stoecklein. Mr. Hays later partnered with Bob Painter and the business was known as Hays and Painter.

Bob Painter later partnered with Wayne Woodard for a short time and the business was known as Painter-Woodard.

Edward and Kenneth Meisenheimer purchased the funeral homes in Pilot Grove and Otterville in 1975.

In 1989, they partnered with Doug Griswold from Eldon to establish a funeral home in Tipton.

Edward Meisenheimer passed away in 2013 and Kenneth Meisenheimer passed away in 2014.

The business was continued by Ken and Connie Hulett until their retirement in 2020. The funeral homes were then purchased by Jeff Page and Chris Dady.
