Terry Lee Twenter, 62, of Pilot Grove, went to his eternal home on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at University Hospital in Columbia.
He was born January 9, 1960, in Boonville, MO, to Roger James and Martha Jane (Litteken) Twenter.
He graduated from Pilot Grove High School in 1978. He farmed in the Pilot Grove community. He also worked as a telecommunications specialist for Mid-Mo Telephone, Mid-Missouri Cellular and Verizon. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pilot Grove. Although he had no children of his own, his nieces, nephews and their children were like his own. He was an all-around good guy, always willing to help others, and never met a stranger.
He is survived by his mother, Jane Twenter, two brothers, Roger Jr. “Butch” (Nancy) Twenter and Glenn (Cindy) Twenter; two sisters, MaDonna (Philip) Schuster and Alma (Todd) Wessing, all of Pilot Grove; fourteen nieces and nephews, Scotty Twenter, Simone Perrigo, Sarah Lindley, Keith Twenter, Kevin Twenter, Traci Imhoff, Nicole Twenter, Kaylin Twenter, Miranda Waibel, McKenzi Dillner, Parker Schuster, Klarissa Williams, Kendra Daniel, and Kerigan Daniel; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roger J. Twenter, Sr.
Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pilot Grove, with Father Derek Hooper officiating.
Prayers of the Rosary will be said at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2022, followed by visitation until 7:00 p.m. at the church.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be nephews and nieces.
Burial will take place at a later date at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Clear Creek.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church, School or Daycare.
